NEWS: Stay tuned here for upcoming meetings in 2026!

Our major accomplishments for 2025:

      • Joined the Massachusetts Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) program and secured a $150,000 credit allocation
      • Hired our first staff member, Dan McLeod
      • Raised $150,000 in one month to save a lynchpin home on Fearing Street
      • Launched our first multi-unit affordable housing development and two additional projects that would more than double ACLT’s affordable homes from 7 to 15!

About the ACLT: The Amherst Community Land Trust (ACLT) is a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 that seeks to acquire and hold land in the town of Amherst for the purposes of offering affordable home ownership and maintaining the family character and economic diversity of Amherst’s residential neighborhoods. We support affordability using the community land trust model of shared ownership, with ACLT holding title to the land and the resident owning the home with an inexpensive long term lease for the land.
